Anamaria Marinca is a Romanian actress. Her debut on screen was Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film for which she received the British Academy Television Award as Best Actress. Can speak French, German, English and Romanian fluently. Her mother was a violinist The father of her is a theater professor in one of the best Romanian theatre schools. The Young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. The European Film Promotion Board named her an European Shooting Star in 2008. She taught for 4 months at the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu in Iasi. bAnamaria is a Romanian actress born on April 1, 1978, Iasi Romania. She is an actress with Romanian origin, Anamaria Marinca made her debut on screen in the Canadian-British TV series Sex Traffic for which she received the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. Apart from her stellar performance in her debut film, she is known for her part in the Romanian art film 4 Months 3 weeks and 2 Days which won her many awards including the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. Her role on Cristian Mungiu's Romanian art film 4 luni, 3 weeks, 2 zile (4 months 3 weeks and two days) earned her the Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 and two additional awards. These included the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System as well as the FIPRESCI Prize. In addition, she appeared on the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, she played Yasim Anwar in the BBC five-episode miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca played the role in an episode of the Romanian drama Boogie as well as Oliver Hirschbiegel's highly acclaimed Five Minutes of Heaven. The actress later played a significant performance in the 2014 film Fury which featured her as in the film Fury as a German woman whose name was Irma aunt to Emma.
