Kat Dennings was born in New York City and is a well-known American actress. She portrayed Max George Black - a hard-working, frank Brooklyn girl - on the CBS sitcom "2 Broke Girls." She began acting in her teens with an appearance in the HBO series 'Sex and City'. She began her film career in the musical drama for teenagers 'Raise Your Voice'. There were several starring roles for her in films like 'Charlie Bartlett', 'Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist', 'Daydream Nation and 'To Write Love on Her Arms' and 'Suburban Gothic', apart from supporting roles in films like 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin and 'Big Momma's house 2', 'The Answer Man as well as 'Thor' and its sequel 'Thor: The Dark World'. Television, she had the lead role in "Raising Dad," as well as the role of a guest on several shows including 'Without a Trace", "Clubhouse The 'ER' series "CSI: New York" and the show 'The Newsroom'.
