It was in the month of May that Garena announced its Garena Premier League (GPL) for six months. It is an online professional gaming league that has more than 100 games scheduled which will take place. The first season of GPL will be the League of Legends competition which comprises six professional teams. Each team is comprised of the best players in their countries. It's goal is to boost participation by under-represented groups and is open for all people who self-identify as women. Garena organizes offline events for members who wish to meet and connect.
