Cindy Crawford
Cynthia Ann Crawford (born February 20th in 1966) is an American model and actress as well as a television star. In the 1990s and 1980s she was a supermodel of renown and was a regular on magazines and runways as well as in fashion campaigns. In the years following, she expanded her acting career and ventured into business. In her sophomore year at high school, she was contacted by an inquiry from a local retailer regarding modeling work but was later informed that it was a joke by two of her peers. But, in the next year, another company took on a few high school girls including Crawford as a model, to be their models (including a fashion shoot). In her senior year local photographer Roger Legel, whose duties included photographing another college girl to be that week's coed for the DeKalb Nite Weekly, asked to photograph her for the publication. The result was her first cover. [9] Her positive feedback and the photograph convinced her to start modeling. She initially worked for an agency with a small size. It was sold to Elite Model Management shortly after she signed. She entered Elite's Look of the Year contest at the age of 17 and was able to make it to the finals at the national level.
