RachelRachel Keller is a fictional character from The Ring film series. The character created by Rachel Keller was created by Ehren Kruger. Naomi Watts plays the role. Rachel has to look into the past of Samara Morgan, her son, in The Ring Two. Ruth Rachel's sister asks Rachel to investigate the mysterious circumstances that led to Katie's sudden death. Rachel finds out from her that Katie was healthy and found Katie's disfigured body inside the closet. Katie's friends tell Rachel about the legend behind the cursed tape and how Katie's friend Becca was put in an institution following Katie's death. She also learns that Katie's boyfriend and two of her friends all suffered fatal accidents the same evening at 10 PM. Rachel journeys to Shelter Mountain Inn, where she is in Cabin 12. This cabin is one in which Katie and her companions saw the tape that had been cursed. Rachel uncovers the tape and begins to watch the tape. The phone rings. Rachel hears a voice utter "seven days". Rachel is referred to Noah Clay as a video analyst by her ex-boyfriend. In the future, Rachel discovers that Aidan Noah, her son who was with Noah, watched the tape at the same time that Noah calls her and informs her that he believes her. Rachel investigates the tape for the lighthouse and finds that it is on Moesko Island. This was the home of Anna Morgan, an evil horse breeder cursed to be on the cursed tape. After a thorough investigation, Rachel discovers Anna had an adopted daughter named Samara and she had the ability to burn disturbing images in the minds of individuals as well as animals and other objects. Rachel encounters Anna's widower Richard Richard, however, he demands her leave when she begins to inquire about Samara.
